About us
Zenga News is an independent, English-first news site covering events that affect Muslim communities around the world. We publish in English, Arabic, Indonesian and Urdu.
Much of the reporting that matters to Muslim readers first appears in local languages and never reaches the global press. We bring those stories into English, check them against other sources and link to where they came from.
Who is responsible
Onur Irmako, Editor-in-Chief. Onur oversees the newsroom's editorial standards, source verification rules and corrections, and is responsible for what we publish. He is based in Adana, Türkiye, and is also the founder of Blazar, a digital media agency.

Our desks
Stories are published under regional and subject desks: Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe & Americas, and Faith & Society. A desk is a beat, not a person. Each desk page explains which regions and sources it follows.
How we work
We use AI-assisted tools to find, draft and translate reports. The rules those tools follow are set by our editor, and every story links to its sources. Read more in How we use AI and our Editorial standards.
