Privacy policy
Zenga News is published by Onur Irmako (contact: editor@zenga.news). We collect as little about readers as we can.
What we collect
- Reading the site: we count page views without cookies and without storing your IP address (Vercel Web Analytics). Story view counts are kept as simple totals per day.
- Google Analytics (optional): only if you click "Accept" in the cookie notice. Google then sets cookies to measure visits. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Morning briefing: your email address and preferred language. We send a confirmation email first and only add you after you confirm. Every briefing has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Correction requests: the message you send and, if you choose to give it, your email address so we can reply.
We do not sell personal data and we do not show personalised advertising.
Who processes it
- Supabase (database, hosted in the European Union)
- Vercel (website hosting and cookie-free analytics)
- Resend (sending the briefing and account emails)
- Google (Analytics, only with your consent)
How long we keep it
Subscriber addresses are kept until you unsubscribe; we then stop all sending and delete the address on request. Correction requests are kept for our corrections record.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email editor@zenga.news and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
