RABAT — Moroccan Prime Minister Fatima Zahra Mansouri said on Monday that the government will continue to defend the kingdom's sovereignty, territorial unity and interests, according to ahdath.info. She spoke while presenting the government programme to parliament in a joint session.

According to ahdath.info, Mansouri said the Moroccan Sahara remains at the top of national issues. She said the government will keep building support for the autonomy initiative within Moroccan sovereignty. She also said it will speed up development in the southern provinces, which she described as a gateway to Africa's depth and the kingdom's Atlantic area.

Mansouri referred to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797, adopted on 31 October 2025. According to ahdath.info, she called the resolution a key milestone. The report does not say how other parties responded.

The same source reports that Mansouri restated Morocco's position on Palestine and Jerusalem. She said the government backs a peaceful settlement based on a two-state solution. She said the government works under the direction of King Mohammed VI.

Mansouri also outlined priorities for the programme. These include water, energy and food security, industrial growth, the digital economy and artificial intelligence. She said the government will fully apply advanced regionalisation and administrative decentralisation. She added that it will reinforce social protection, health and education reforms.

Ahdath.info reports that Mansouri said the programme draws on the policy commitments of the majority parties. She said these commitments will be carried out gradually, within the limits of public finances.
